On October 23rd  Tour Rhode Island: There's No Place Like Home received the Odyssey Award in the Geotourism Category.  Congratulations to every team member of the "Tour Rhode Island: There's No Place Like Home" committee for bringing such national recognition to Rhode Island.
ecycle Recycle Your Old Electronics
 
Here's your chance to recycle your old electronics found while digging for holiday decorations or cleaning out your basement.  The next collections will be held on December 15 and January 12.
 
Some examples of acceptable items are computers, monitors, keyboards, mouses, spare computer parts, phones, fax machines, scanners, printers and much more.  Check out www.keepblackstonevalleybeautiful.com for a complete list of items and other dates, locations and times.
 
Pawtucket Gateway Design Competition
 
The City of Pawtucket in partnership with the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor Commission is pleased to announce a competition to engage the design community in the development of a sculptural element to be located on a prominent space in Pawtucket.  The deadline for Submission of Qualifications is December 12, 2007.
