Blackstone River.
Project Zap
catalogs the efforts of
10,000 people who began
to clean up the
Blackstone River in
September of 1972. The
Blackstone River was the
first polluted river on
the North American
Continent beginning in
1793 with the onset of
the American Industrial
Revolution.
