This Collection and Fundraiser Event to Benefit Blackstone Valley Cleanup Efforts

Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful, the environmental education arm of the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, is hosting a computer and electronic collection day to benefit this spring's Great American Cleanup in the Blackstone Valley. The collection will be held Saturday, January 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at two area locations: in Cumberland at the Green- Tech Assets Warehouse, 30 Meeting Street, and in Smithfield at Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike.

The following items are free to drop off, however, donations are accepted: CPUs/computers, servers, keyboards, spare computer parts, monitors, laptops, network equipment, mice, laser printers, routers, radios, scanners, fax machines, car stereos, cables and wires, aluminum, copper, cell phones, and telephones are all free of charge.

The following items require a disposal fee: TVs ($8), TVs in wood casing ($10), intact air conditioners ($10), toner cartridges ($2), Home copy machines ($10), small backup batteries/UPS ($8), large backup batteries/UPS ($20). NO alkaline batteries please.

Blackstone Valley Tourism Council Announces International Food Brochure
Intn'l Food Brochure

Blackstone Valley Tourism Council announces the premiere of a FREE color brochure, The International Foods of the Blackstone Valley.

The brochure showcases the many small community-based food establishments that offer a diversity of ethnic foods within the Blackstone Valley to please everyone’s palate. In addition to the free brochure, the tourism council is also launching an interactive website, www.dineblackstone.com, powered by DiningQuest.com, with direct links to the establishments listed in the brochure.
