Beautiful,
the
environmental
education
arm of the
Blackstone
Valley
Tourism
Council, is
hosting a
computer and
electronic
collection
day to
benefit this
spring's
Great
American
Cleanup in
the
Blackstone
Valley. The
collection
will be held
Saturday,
January 20
from 8 a.m.
to 12 p.m.
at two area
locations:
in
Cumberland
at the
Green- Tech
Assets
Warehouse,
30 Meeting
Street, and
in
Smithfield
at Bryant
University,
1150 Douglas
Pike.
The
following
items are
free to drop
off,
however,
donations
are
accepted:
CPUs/computers,
servers,
keyboards,
spare
computer
parts,
monitors,
laptops,
network
equipment,
mice, laser
printers,
routers,
radios,
scanners,
fax
machines,
car stereos,
cables and
wires,
aluminum,
copper, cell
phones, and
telephones
are all free
of charge.
The
following
items
require a
disposal
fee: TVs
($8), TVs in
wood casing
($10),
intact air
conditioners
($10), toner
cartridges
($2), Home
copy
machines
($10), small
backup
batteries/UPS
($8), large
backup
batteries/UPS
($20). NO
alkaline
batteries
please.
