    Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! As we prepare for winter & holiday season ahead, there are many special events planned in the Blackstone Valley.

    Experience a Dickensian Christmas with a performance of Christmas Carol at Stadium Performing Arts Center or a visit to Hearthside and Blackstone River Theatre for a Victorian celebration. Experience the season of light in the valley with our annual Christmas Trolley tour or shop by candlelight in Glocester. These and other events are featured in this newsletter.

    Join Santa for a Holiday Tour through the Valley
    Enjoy a festive 45 minute Christmas Tour and Sing-Along Through the Blackstone Valley aboard the Blackstone Valley Trolley.

    Local Group to Participate in Holiday Concert with Clay Aiken
    Rhode Island's oldest community theater group, The Community Players of Pawtucket, will participate in the local performance of Clay Aiken’s Joyful Noise 2005 holiday tour, which hits Providence on Friday, December 9 at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Local actors will be featured in staged vignettes as part of the concert.

  • Dickens A Christmas Carol is always a popular Holiday event and there are many opportunities to enjoy a Dickensian Christmas. A Christmas Carol continues at Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre in Woonsocket through December 11 and at Trinity Repertory in Providence through December 24.
    • A Christmas Carol Celebration at Hearthside House and Blackstone River Theatre (BRT) will feature a Candlelight reception in the elaborately decorated Hearthside Mansion in Lincoln followed by the Fezziwig Party at BRT in Cumberland on Sunday, December 11.
    • Christmas is not the only seasonal celebration that occurs at this time of year, join Mixed Magic Theatre for their 7th Annual Kwanzaa Song, December 15 - December 18 in Pawtucket.
    • If you are looking for a unique Holiday gift, why not head to Chepachet for their annual Candlelight Shopping & Festival of Lights, Thursday, December 8 & December 15
    • Another great holiday tradition is The Nutcracker being performed by both Festival Ballet of Providence and Heritage Ballet in Woonsocket at The Stadium Theatre, December 16-December 18.
    • Explore the winter landscape at Pawtucket's Annual Winter Wonderland in Slater Park through December 18 and enjoy the sounds of Christmas with New England Christmastide at Stone Soup on Saturday, December 17.
